August 14, 2008 BlinkieBlast is CLOSED for all work at this time. Health reasons have forced me to close the site for all orders, memberships and work. Any orders placed can not be filled. In Juy I was involved in a car accident and we are not on the road to getting disability due to the pain and damage it caused to my cervical spine and nerve pain. I am medicated all the time for pain management and cannot sit on th computer for any length of time. I am unsure of where this will lead. I do not know when I will come back or if I will, or can. I know that life is not good at the moment and the pain is unmanagable. I will keep all members up to date, and the site will remain open for them. A plan is in store to change sigtags that are currently up for members. I will also be using the goodie list if I do have time and energy to work on anything for members. Please note this. I do not want to give up, I just have nothing to give at the moment due to the pain and lack of mobility. Sitting at a desk is the worst position for me other than being on a tiltawhirl. I hope I can one day get the site back up and where I want it to be, I just need to concentrate on my health and pain management before I can worry about pixels. 3 years has been a long time, I do not want to give up on the site now.
June 29th Update the site with a tube set using Custom lines from Faery Pixels. These will be available for purchase in the shoppe section for non members this coming week!
June 26th.2008 Just a note that my brother is coming out for a visit over the holiday week, so I will be scarce, which is a good thing. This is normally my week at the ocean, but due to my Grandmother and my Sons health, we are at home safe. Also all forms should be working. If you had requested a free siggie and did not get it, please re-request. Forms were not sending completely. You should not get a confirmation. I might have covered that below. LOL June 23rd. Members area updated with 8 new tube sets, 1 new lineart set from MyImaginiation. I am back after a week, and slowly getting back in the swing of things. My kitty Miracles has passed away, and with that Summer here in Chicago has started. I have updated the monthly FREE sigtag today with the addition of this cutie. You may request one of the 2.
I also added 2 new premades and lowered the price so everyone can enjoy them! Members will be getting an update today as well, and I am also pulling down the sigtag shoppe section.
May 20th, 2008 Currently I am still closed but wanted to post this for those who are involved with the Raise a Roof Fundraiser. I have given Wendy certificates for those they should be given to, and I will honor them when I come back from this little leave. I am sorry to do this, but real life sent me a wild card to deal with. I please ask that you read the note below this and understand. My Uncle Ray passed away this early evening. His smile will never be forgotten in my heart. Now will his huggs that held me when my son was killed. May 19, 2008 It is with a heavy heart that I am posting that BlinkieBlast will be closed for a while. The family has made a decision to pull my Great Uncle off the respirator with knowledge that he will not survive without it tomorrow. At this point I need to take a break and suspend all updates and purchases that come through to the site. I need to deal with this as it is another loss for my family in a very short time span. It is also the second loss for my family due to lung cancer from smoking. I lost my father this way just about 9 years ago. So in light of this, I hope you all understand, and that you will pray for my family as we mourn the loss of an incredible person, a great father, grandfather and uncle.. and just a wonderful life. May 1st, 2008 A lot has changed since I opened BlinkieBlast almost 3 years ago, as well as myself. I have taken a look at who I was and what my goals were and found that my love for pixels was about myself and not about making money. I also found myself pretty alone in this thinking. And I have met some incredible people along the road, some I wouldnt loose for all the money in the world. Pixels started out because someone loved to draw and color. They wanted to share. And somewhere it became about getting as rich as you could and being as selfish as you could be and hurting everyone around you as long as you were on top. I refuse to be apart of that.
BlinkieBlast is about having fun, loving one another, spoiling one another and being as kind and gentle and sweet as you can be. There is nothing to gain by being a member at BlinkieBlast but some cute images, and a friend for life.
Membership at BlinkieBlast is not available to just anyone. I do not have an open door policy so just anyone can join. Most of my members are known on a first name basis and I adore the daylights out of them. They understand my hectic life, my illness and my adoration for them. And they are very dear to me. And most of my members have never paid a penny to be part of my site. If I know you and you wish to be apart of BlinkieBlast, fill out the contact form and hit me up. I do not take new members often, but if I know you, and I adore you, chances are you already know how things work here and are willing to jump on for the ride.... and I will open my doors and my heart to you.
